This lets it performs its analysis, scoring, and tagging in such a way that the mail app can filter messages or run rules against themand even have the app color code them by likelihood of. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Mail rules automate repetitive tasks, such as moving the same type of messages to a particular folder, highlighting messages from friends and family, or eliminating spam emails. This allows SpamSieve to screen all of your incoming mail for spam. You can use the On My Mac Spam folder with an IMAP account, in which case the spam messages will be moved off the IMAP server. Even with the special Junk folder, you can open the triangle next to it to see the individual folders for each account. I have installed the latest version and removed and reinstalled the apple mail plugin and rule a few times with no success. The normal setup for Apple Mail suggests putting the SpamSieve rule at the top of the list. No, each server folder is shown as one folder in Mail. If I turn off the filter it immediately starts counting up the messages it’s downloading or moving, but I end up with a inbox full of spam. ![]() (Ironically, one of the bugs I’ve encountered is the inability to delete messages via AppleScript. If you find that Mail's built-in Junk Mail filter makes too many mistakes. In addition (and I have seen this but with no resolution posted elsewhere) Sometimes I will train as spam and most things disappear for a second and end up back in the inbox box (grey). Summary: A fantastically accurate spam filter for Mail. It will just get stuck “downloading messages” or “downloading 1 of 8k” etc… or get stuck “moving 1 of 8” or any number of messages. I wouldn’t have thought to look there, but now I see a reference to Outlook 2016 on that page. ![]() As soon as I upgraded to Sierra, my Gmail account seems to have problems with Mac Mail if the SS filter is on. Added support for Apple Mail on the forthcoming macOS 11.5 and macOS 12.0. Perhaps in SpamSieve Help, under Using SpamSieve, there should be a section Setting Up Outlook 2016 (and Setting up Outlook 2019) that redirects to the Setting Up Outlook 365 page. I have used SS for many years with no problem. I have also searched, and while seeing similar posts nothing that I can find to do. I have been spending days (on the phone with Apple…) trying to solve this issue. ![]()
